Job Summary:
Oversee daily operations of the assigned Distribution Center including shipping and receiving, employee engagement, dealer support, and customer service.
Responsible for processing and tracking customer orders, coordinating shipping and receiving schedules to meet customer needs, and evaluating employee and departmental performance. Develop and implement plans for continuous improvement as needed.
Essential Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Background in agriculture preferred, specifically grain handling and storage with a basic understanding of construction/erection procedures. Ability to read manual/parts diagrams
Prior experience in a warehouse including inventory management, forklift operation and basic maintenance
Preferred Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams); ability to learn and utilize Company’s ERP system
Job Duties:
- Manage warehouse employees, including recruiting, interviewing, performance reviews, retention, and basic employee relations
- Coordinate local dealer meetings and training events
- Maintain regular communication with Sales Representatives
- Prepare product quotations and process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate shipping and receiving schedules and oversee all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Purchase warehouse supplies and maintain accurate inventory records and inventory control
- Provide technical support and perform field service calls as necessary
- Lead and execute 5S initiatives and continuous improvement projects
- Schedule and/or perform building, property, and fleet maintenance and repairs
- Assist with hiring and termination processes in accordance with company policies
- Conduct employee training and certification programs with an emphasis on safety, product quality, and operational excellence
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed
- Ensure inventory accuracy and monitor inventory turnover
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility
- Attend annual sales meetings at the corporate office in Sheffield, Iowa
- Other duties as assigned
